Only 13% of the world's population lives in a full democracy. That number is falling. Financial censorship is expanding. Surveillance is normalizing. Digital borders are being constructed by the very platforms people trust to connect them. But the tools to fight back already exist — and they were built by people who stood on our stage. PGP gave humanity encrypted communication. Smart contracts eliminated the need to trust institutions. Bitcoin created censorship-resistant money. Digital cash enabled financial sovereignty for billions locked out of the banking system.

Since 2023, Blockchain Jungle has reunited the living architects of these technologies — Nick Szabo, David Chaum, Phil Zimmermann, Adam Back, Peter Todd, Elizabeth Stark — alongside 5,000+ attendees from 60+ countries, 4,000+ developers trained through Dojo Coding, and civic technology tools like Tomatómetro strengthening electoral transparency in Costa Rica. We are the only organization in the world operating the complete freedom infrastructure stack: the summit that convenes, the pipeline that trains, and the civic technology that ships. This isn’t a conference. It’s the connective tissue of the global freedom technology movement.

One Mission,
Four Pillars.
The Summit

Blockchain Jungle

The annual gathering where freedom's builders, funders, and defenders converge. Held in Costa Rica — the country that abolished its army in 1948 and bet on education, peace, and sovereignty. The summit features the Freedom Stage, the AI & Sovereignty track, the Financial Sovereignty Zone, and the Diplomatic Room.

What'snext?

Blockchain Jungle hosts its annual summit in Costa Rica alongside a growing calendar of global activations: regional editions, webinars, Freedom Hackers sprints, and diplomatic convenings.

Why
Costa
Rica?

In 1948, Costa Rica abolished its military — and invested in education, conservation, and peace. It became the most stable democracy in Latin America. It's not an accident that the world's freedom technology movement convenes here.

The jungle isn't a backdrop. It's a thesis. Ungoverned. Biodiverse. Resilient. The place where free things grow without permission.

The Architects and Ambassadors

The builders of digital sovereignty who have shaped the movement — on our stage and beyond.

Frequently asked.

Direct answers to the questions we're asked most often. If yours isn't here, the Rally community is the fastest place to ask.

  • Who speaks at Blockchain Jungle?

Past editions have hosted architects of the freedom-tech movement including David Chaum, Nick Szabo, Phil Zimmermann, Adam Back, Peter Todd, and Elizabeth Stark. The confirmed lineup for the next edition is announced as it firms up via the Rally community.

  • Why Costa Rica?

Costa Rica abolished its army in 1948 and reinvested those resources in education, peace, and sovereignty. That history makes it the natural host for a freedom-tech summit, and its central position between North and South America makes it accessible from the entire hemisphere.

  • Has Blockchain Jungle happened before?

Yes — Blockchain Jungle has run annually since 2023 in Costa Rica, hosting thousands of attendees from 60+ countries across past editions. Recap photos, talk archives, and edition-by-edition details are linked from the Rally community.

  • Is the conference in English or Spanish?

Blockchain Jungle is bilingual. Main-stage sessions run in English with simultaneous Spanish interpretation; some tracks and workshops are conducted entirely in Spanish. The audience reflects Costa Rica’s position as the bridge between LATAM and the global freedom-tech movement.
